All4Trucks opens safe full service truck stop in Calais
Setting new European standards

Calais, February 2nd 2009 - All4Trucks BV, an initiative of a group of investors from the Netherlands and France with business experience in transportation, logistics and fuel distribution, announces the opening of Europe’s first safe full-service truck stop in the Calais area.

“The project relies on an innovative business concept that brings truck stops to a higher level. Size and scope of the Calais project are unprecedented in Europe and it sets new standards on safety and efficiency for truckers, along with significant benefits for the local community in terms of employment, improved infrastructure and traffic, just to mention a few.” says Ton Barten, CEO All4Trucks BV. He adds “many talk about initiatives to increase safety for truckers, but All4Trucks is the only one acting, on its own strength, without subsidies, based on a thorough business plan”.

In essence, All4Trucks has developed a unique and innovative approach to secure truck sites in Europe, based on an efficient combination of a multi branded fuel station, far more efficient than traditional ones, and a large scale site offering comprehensive facilities for trucks, truck drivers and their cargo. Among these services there is spacious and secure parking, continuous surveillance by security guards as well as video control watching over truck drivers and their equipment, front and rear license plate recognition at the entry and exit of every truck and permanent direct contact to the Police. Access into the site is allowed only for trucks via double-end lock gates and all services are provided in a secure zone.

All4Trucks is a multi branded fuel site accepting most major international fuel cards directly at the pump, offering Diesel, AdBlue and Red dyed Gasoil. The site features 14 filling positions, 2 tank truck unloading positions, and a fuel storage capacity of more than 1,000,000 litres.

All4Trucks is the ideal stop on every trucker’s route, giving a “home away from home” feeling, by means of providing excellent services for all needs. Under the brand All4Trucks, truck drivers are offered all services at one secure location: a parking area with 310 parking spaces, food & drink: 200 seat restaurant and bar, vending machines, 300 m2 shop, cash dispenser, personal care facilities (showers/toilets, restrooms, laundry), Eurovignet and last but not least, communication facilities (internet/WiFi, fax and telephone).

The new business concept developed and implemented by All4Trucks exceeds the industry’s highest standards and expectations, with positive benefits for the local community in terms of economical development and attractiveness for logistical companies, reduction of nuisance, infrastructure, taxes and environment.

“We envisaged a project that ensures benefits for the local community, as well. First of all it generates new jobs, contributes to local taxes and increases the attractiveness of the Transmarck zone for other logistical companies. Social benefits are also taken into account due to the reduction of nuisance to the general public, the secured area resulting in the decrease in thefts and violence and equivalent benefits for truck drivers of course. And last but not least, our business relies heavily on the highest standards regarding the environment.” added Antoine Ravisse, company representative in France.

This, the first All4Trucks site is located in the Transmarck area near Calais on the junction of the motorways A26 and A16, exit 48 TRANSMARCK. Calais is a key European transport location, as more than 3 million trucks annually cross the English Channel between Calais and Dover and sufficient secure parking space is a must. Moreover, according to international studies, truck traffic in the area will double in the next 7 years. Having in view such estimates, All4Trucks Calais is and will be a key European transport location across the English Channel, because it brings added value to the existent local infrastructure in terms of parking, security and fuel.

The All4Trucks consortium plans to create a network of 20 similar sites in strategic locations in Europe, setting a new standard for services in the transportation business.
